Floating Cart Button (Sticky Cart)
The Floating Cart Button (also called Sticky Cart) is a button that stays on the screen while your customer scrolls. When they tap it, it opens your cart drawer.
Enable the floating cart button
Choose the button position
Use the Position setting to choose where the button sits on the screen. Most stores use a bottom corner so it doesn’t cover important page content.
- Bottom right (common choice)
- Bottom left
- Left side or right side (if your theme has a lot of content at the bottom)
Pick an icon style
The icon helps customers understand the button is for the cart. In Icon style, choose the look you want.
- Bag icon (popular for fashion)
- Cart icon (classic for most stores)
- Simple / outline vs filled styles (depends on your store design)
Style the badge counter
The badge counter is the small number on the button that shows how many items are in the cart.
What you can customize
- Show/Hide badge: Turn the counter on or off.
- Badge color: Background color of the circle/pill.
- Text color: Color of the number.
- Size: Make the badge smaller or larger.
- Position: Where the badge sits on the icon (for example, top-right).
Recommended badge styles
- High contrast: A bright badge with white text is easy to see.
- Brand color: Use your main brand color for a clean look.
- Readable size: Big enough to read on mobile, not so big that it feels distracting.
Set device visibility (desktop, mobile, tablet)
Use Device visibility to control where the floating cart button appears:
- Desktop
- Tablet
- Mobile
Quick checklist
- The button is enabled.
- The position does not cover chat, cookie banners, or “Add to cart.”
- The icon style matches your theme.
- The badge is easy to read (good contrast and size).
- Desktop / tablet / mobile visibility is set the way you want.
- Make sure Enable Floating Cart Button is turned on.
- Check Device visibility. You may have disabled the device you are testing on.
- If you are viewing your store inside the theme editor, also test in a normal browser tab to confirm.
Most stores show the item count (how many items are in the cart). This helps customers quickly see if they already added something.
