Header: Title, Logo, Close Button, and Language

What the cart header controls

The Header is the top area of your cart drawer. This is where customers usually see:

  • Your cart title (text) or a logo
  • The close (X) button

These settings help your cart look on-brand and easy to use on both desktop and mobile.

Configure the title (text or logo)

In the app, go to Cart Editor → Header.

Pick one of these options:

  • Text title (example: Your cart or Shopping bag)
  • Logo (upload or select your store logo)

Enter the title text you want customers to see.

Keep it short. Long titles can wrap to two lines on mobile.

Adjust the logo size so it fits in one line and does not push the close button out of place.

If the logo looks blurry, upload a higher-quality image (a wider logo usually looks better than a tall one).

Set header alignment

Alignment controls where the title/logo sits in the header:

  • Left: Common for stores that want a simple, standard look.
  • Center: Good for a clean, “brand-first” look.
  • Right: Less common, but can work for some designs.
On smaller screens, centered titles/logos can feel more balanced, but always check that the close button is easy to reach.

Close button position

The close button (usually an X) lets customers exit the cart drawer.

In Header settings, set the close button position to:

  • Top right (most common)
  • Top left (useful if your drawer opens from the right and you want symmetry)

Preview on mobile size. Make sure the close button is not too close to the edge and is easy to tap.

Close button style

You can usually style the close button so it matches your theme (for example, icon type, color, size, and background).

  • Icon style: Choose the X style that matches your theme icons.
  • Size: Make it large enough to tap comfortably on mobile.
  • Color: Use a color with strong contrast so it is easy to see.
  • Background (if available): Optional circle/square background can help visibility.
Avoid very light gray close buttons on white headers. If customers can’t find the close button, they may leave your store.

How language and translation fields work

Oxify lets you change the words customers see in the cart (titles, labels, messages, and more). Translation fields help you show the right text for different languages.

Key idea: default text vs translated text

  • Default language text: This is the “main” text used when no translation is set for a customer’s language.
  • Translated text: Optional text you add for other languages (example: English + French).
If a translated field is empty, customers will usually see the default language text instead.

Where translations appear

Translation fields can show up in multiple places across the cart editor (not only the header), such as:

  • Header title
  • Buttons (like checkout)
  • Empty cart messages
  • Discount and rewards messages
  • Order notes labels

When you switch the language selector in the editor (if available), you are editing the text for that language.

Best practices for translations

  • Start with your default language first, then add translations.
  • Keep meaning the same across languages (don’t change the offer rules in translation text).
  • Watch text length. Some languages are longer and can wrap on mobile.
After translating the header title, also check other cart text (like empty cart and checkout area) so the cart feels consistent in the same language.

Quick checklist before you publish

  • Title/logo is clear and not cut off on mobile
  • Alignment looks good on desktop and mobile
  • Close button is easy to see and easy to tap
  • Default language text is filled in (so nothing shows blank)
  • Translations are added where needed, and long text does not wrap badly

This usually happens when the logo is too large or too tall. Reduce the logo size in the header settings, or upload a wider (less tall) version of your logo.

Some text may not have a translation filled in for that language yet. Add the translated text for those fields. If a translation is blank, the cart will usually fall back to your default language.

Yes. Add translations for the header title in each language so customers see the correct title based on their language.
